Angelcat Haven Feline Rescue raises $2,000 for homeless animals

PLAINVILLE – The 3rd Annual Stuff for Strays Yard Sale held Saturday July 27th was a great success! The rain held out for great bargains, refreshments and music by DJ U4EA. Thanks to a legion of volunteers, a host of generous donors, and a crowd of shoppers, Angelcat Haven Feline Rescue (ACH) raised $2,000 for homeless and abandoned cats in the area.
Angela Frankudakis, president of Angelcat Haven, was pleased with the outcome. “It was a great day for the kitties,” she said. Proceeds from the sale go directly to help fund vet bills for the many animals Angelcat takes in. The group has taken in over 350 cats since its inception three years ago. “We are so grateful to everyone who turned out for the event,” says Angela.
The money generated from the yard sale couldn’t come at a better time, as local animal shelters and rescue groups are full with adult cats in need of permanent homes forcing them to turn many away. Angelcat has taken in many stray and abandoned cats and they need your help. Please consider adopting an adult cat and help an animal in need. Once these cats are adopted into their forever homes, space is freed up at the Haven to take in more.
If you have room in your home and in your heart to adopt a rescued cat, or are interested in becoming a foster home, please contact Angelcat Haven at 508-203-4240 or email Foster Home and Adoption Coordinator, Sara Drake at Sara@angelcathaven.com for more information.
