We
need loving foster homes for nursing mother cats and kittens.
Kitten
Season.....It's that time of the year again. We are looking
for help to care for pregnant moms and kittens. Do you have
space in your home and room in your heart, to care for a cat
or kittens until they are old enough to be put up for adoption?
Kittens are totally irresistible at this stage in their lives!
If you've never had a chance to witness babies growing up,
you don't know what you are missing. It is much healthier
for moms and kittens to be cared for in a home where there
is less exposure to other cats. We want to give our Angelcat
Haven babies time to grow and develop into healthy well adjusted
kittens.
To foster a cat or kittens, for Angelcat Haven we require
that you provide:
- A warm, quiet,
safe place, away from other cats
- food, water,
litter and bedding
- Enough time
to foster them until they reach 3 pounds. This can be
anywhere from 4 - 6 weeks of foster time, depending upon
the age of the kittens.
- Lots of love
and time to socialize and play with the kittens.
The more attention you can lavish on them, the more socialized
they will become and the easier it is for us to find them
permanent homes.
Procedures to be aware of while fostering:
- While the
cat or kittens are in your care, they are the responsibility
of Angelcat Haven.
- If visitors,
friends, etc. are interested in adopting a cat or kitten
while they are in your care,
- they must
go through the adoption procedure as outlined on our website.
- Once their
shots, checkups and final weigh ins are done, approved
parties can come meet and pick up the cat or kitten at
that time.
If you are interested in being a foster parent, and opening
your home to a needy homeless cat, please email Rose
- We will get back to you as quickly as possible.
