Diva Dakota is ready for her own home! She has been here with us for too long - she is about 7 years old. She was originally found as a stray but has been living indoors since then. She is beautiful, loving, but quirky! She loves attention but needs someone who will respect her boundaries - she can be sassy! She loves a good spa day to keep her long hair in check - she typically gets groomed 3-4 year as she doesn't love to be brushed and has long hair. Typical diva behavior! She is FIV positive but she can live a long healthy life as long as she is indoors and without other cats. She would do best in a cat savvy home! Looking for a kitten? At 1.5 years old, Dan is over the “crazy” part of kittenhood but is surely still a kitten! He is very playful, sweet and entertaining with lots of personality! He loves to talk and is always up for a good conversation. He is very friendly, neat, and always uses his scratching post. He is a fun, loving, all around nearly “purrfect” kitty! People often ask us for orange cats or orange kittens. They seem to be very rare around these parts! Ginger is even more special as she has a medical need and has been with us in our senior program, despite her young age. Ginger is a sweet 4-5 year old cat who needs a new home. She was part of our senior to senior program but her owner is moving to a facility that does not allow cats. She is looking for a permanent lap to spend the rest of her days curled up on! Ginger was diabetic when she came to us and received daily insulin injections. She uses the same insulin as people and she was a good sport about it. Through a specialized diet, her diabetes has gone into remission and she does not need medication. She does not like other cats but lived with a smaller dog and did well. JC 1 is such a little cutie. He is a 3-4 month old male short hair kitten. He was trapped as a feral kitten and has come a long way!! He will be a little fearful when meeting new people. Once you start playing with a string toy, he will be fully engaged in play in less than 30 minutes and be happy to play with you! He plays well with the other kittens and cats in his foster home. He has the cutest squeaky meow when he wants to be picked up. He will purr and let his foster mom hold him like a baby. Then he is off again running and playing with his toys. JC 2 is a lovely 3-4 month old kitten. He is such a lovely boy. He will force cuddles on you and need you gently with no claws. He loves his brother, super playful and good with small children. He does not seek them out but is good at walking around them! He loves to rub his face on your face and gives you long blinks with lovely nose kisses. JC 3 is an adorable 3-4 month old male kitten. He is a bit of a shy guy, but he does love cuddles and snuggles. He likes when you come to him. After a couple of pats, he will follow you around the house. He is very vocal and likes to sing and walk about. He is a great hider and climber so don’t panic right away if you can't find him! He is good with small kids and enjoys the company of other cats. He likes to sleep and cuddle on the feet of his foster parents. He loves to lay on her keyboard when she's working! How can you not love Mufasa? He was trapped while trapping in a feral colony in a busy city neighborhood. The goal was to neuter him and release him but there was something in the way he looked at one of the volunteers that he wasn’t feral! He has learned to trust people again and is a sweet kitty now. He now loves to be patted and brushed. He is still quite shy and will hide when his foster mom walks into the room. But with a soft voice and some canned food, he comes out for lovings and food. He will need a quiet home with patience so he can learn to be more trusting but will be a great pet. He would do best in a quiet home with no children. Samuel 1 is one of our sweet kittens available for adoption. He is all black and 3-4 months old. He is very cute and fun! He has a ton of energy so he would do best with another young cat or someone who is home during the day. He likes to play with his sibling. He is a joy! Woody 1 is a fearless leader. He is always instigating playtime with his cat siblings and causing mischief. On the first night with his foster home, he was the first to crawl into someone's laps and make himself at home. He will play with anything that dangles - shoe laces, drawstrings on clothing, you name it! His loving cuddly side came out very quickly once he acclimated to his surroundings. He purrs almost instantly when petted and runs against you. When being introduced to two small dogs under 15 pounds he was the most relaxed. They piqued his curiosity and he even laid down right in front of them exposing his belly. He also touched noses with the dogs and showed no signs of aggression. Woody 1 is FIV positive. He was tested as a kitten as part of kitten testing. FIV is transmitted via blood and can be "shed", i.e. he may not test positive again in a few months. FIV positive cats must be kept indoors only, have good nutrition, avoid raw diets, be provided with low stress environments and need regular visits to the veterinarian, and all cats in the household need to be fixed to reduce transmission. The FIV infection is for life, but it is important to remember many cats with FIV can live a happy, healthy life for many years. Woody 2 is a very lovable sweet cat. She is a 4-5 month old female tabby cat. When first acclimating to her foster home, she quickly showed her loving side. She prefers to sleep in high places (high scratching post, window sills, and on top of desks). She is very playful with straws and toy mice. Once she gets used to her surroundings, she purrs a lot when being held or petted. She has a very relaxed nature and doesn't spook at many noises. When introduced to two small dogs under 15 pounds, she was intent on following them around. She was just so curious about what they were doing! She gets along very well with her cat brothers and is quite playful. Woody 2 is FIV positive. She was tested as a kitten as part of kitten testing.
